2009 EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Friends and fantasy-lovers far and wide,

Our fabulous Masquerade is postponed until 2010.

It seems that even the mystical realms cannot remain unaffected by the financial happenings
in the human world.

Preparations for this year's event were already underway when the difficult decision to move
the event to a later date was made.

But fear ye not! Whatever doesn't flatten us like
a pancake can only make us stronger. This extra preparation time will help us to build an even more wonderous and enjoyable event, and it will give all our entrants in the Fantasy Art Competition even more time to create their masterpieces. It also gives you, the guest, more time to create your costume!

We also have a secret to tell: Our Masquerade will be getting a new name! We are greatly looking forward to expanding the scope and the horizons of this rapidly growing event, and a new name will give us the freedom to expand our dreams and our possibilities. Our themes, aesthetics and ideologies will remain the same, as will our website - www.GuildoftheGoldenOwl.com

Our Sparkling Night Beneath The Nine Chandeliers

The beautiful Regal Ballroom swirled with the surreal faces of michevious creatures and furry beasts, magnificent madames dripping with jewels, beautiful belles in billowing ballgowns, gorgeous gentlemen in svelte and stunning suits, spectacular sea critters, frolicking forest imps and a hundred strange and wonderful things in between.

We at The Guild Of The Golden Owl extend our warmest and heartfelt thanks to each and every guest who joined us in our night of revelry and helped make the 2008 Masquerade so beautiful! Thank you so much!
