Content Guidelines
Images should show things like nautical adventures, wharf and tavern life, ships at sea, battles, any period of tyranny on the high seas throughout history, tools and weapons of the trade, actions and activities of sea-farers, and anything PIRATEY!Submission Guidelines
Maximum 3 entries per person.Artists may work in pairs or small groups. Maximum 3 entries per pair/group.
Artists may submit solo and pair/group entries, e.g. 1 pair entry, 1 group entry and 1 solo entry, or any combination of these to make 3 total entries per artist.
Images must be EMAILED along with details of their size and medium.
E.G.
1. Randy Bobshackles, "Pirate Port", oils and metal, 45 x 50cm
2. Randy Bobshackles, "Lady of the Ocean", paper and mixed materials, 10 x 12 x 30cm
3. Randy Bobshackles, "Untitled", papier mache and glass, 30 x 60cm.

Please note that this competition is intended to showcase YOU - the artist, and so we seek the best possible presentation of your artwork. Poor quality images will not be displayed or judged. Please ensure that your images are high resolution!
WINNERS
Winners will be announced and prizes awarded during the Pirates of the Yarribean cruise. Any prize winners who are not on the cruise will be contacted by the email address supplied with their entries and arrangements will be made to post their prize to them.
Voting
Rules for voting will be posted near to submission closing date on March 20 2010.Display
All submitted entries that adhere to guidelines will be displayed on the Pirates of the Yarribean website.A selection of best entries, chosen at the Judges' discretion, will continue to be hosted and displayed for as long
as the Pirates of the Yarribean website stands.
Medium
We welcome work from ALL CREATIVE ENDEAVOURS, including sculpture, photography, ceramics, papercraft, culinary arts, decoupage, even lego!Photographing and Scanning Your Work
Please take particular care in your final digital presentation. Make sure you adjust your colours and contrast to match your original work, crop out anything that is not part of your artwork, and ensure your horizontal alignment is dead straight. If you photograph a sculpture sitting on a chair, for example, and that chair is not part of your artwork but is visible in the final digital image, it may be assumed that it is part of your artwork and will be judged accordingly.Content Rules
No offensive imagery: Please be aware that artworks containing offensive, sexist, racist, homophobic or derogatory imagery will not be exhibited or judged.No copyright material: This includes photoshopping celebrities, internet photos or images from movies. Basically anything taken or copied from somewhere else is copyrighted under Australian law and will not be displayed or judged.
